General Liability Coverage

unleashing our clients’ potential by maximising the innovation.

General liability coverage is not a one-size-fits-all solution, similar to the seatbelt in your truck cab. Each business has unique needs and policy requirements. While general liability coverage offers protection for non-vehicle-related operations, policies may require customization to address specific contractual obligations and risk factors associated with your business.

Liabilities and scenarios covered include:

Damages to premises rented to the policyholder-This option provides coverage for damage caused by the policyholder or their employees to non-owned buildings, land, or structures. The policy applies only to damage for which the policyholder holds legal liability.

Bodily injury and property damage liability-This option provides coverage for injuries or property damage to third parties who are not employees and occur on your business premises. It’s important to note that claims related to employee injuries should be addressed through worker’s compensation, which is a separate type of coverage.

Medical payments-This option provides coverage for payment of injury or funeral costs to non-employee third parties, which your business is responsible for. The coverage limit can be determined by the policyholder, but careful consideration is needed to ensure sufficient coverage and avoid unexpected expenses.

Personal and advertising injury- this option covers damage to the reputation of your business, including copyright infringement, slander, and libel.

Products- completed operations-This option provides protection to the policyholder against liability for illness or injury caused by their company’s products or faulty workmanship. Additional coverage needs may arise, such as worker’s compensation, professional liability, and property coverage, which should be discussed with your broker to ensure comprehensive protection.
